In addition to our main meeting we have various other groups that meet throughout the month. Often hosted by one of our members or at set locations within the district. Specific details will be given in our monthly bulletin available directly by email or at our meeting.
We currently have the following activities:-
Craft groups – We encourage ladies to meet in smaller groups in their homes to sew, make, knit & natter. We also use the Community Space which is offered by John Lewis (& often based in their Cafe)and usually work on our community activities at this location. This is on the first Thursday morning of the month.If you wish to come along Pam would appreciate it if you let her know so that JL can arrange the space for our requirements.
Scrabble group on the second Monday of the month at a members home.
Reading group on the Wednesday following the main meeting will be at the John Lewis Cafe. We meet to discuss and share whatever we have been reading – light or serious, fact or fiction, paperback or hardback, Kindle or audiotape, it’s all up for discussion. If you are coming along Sue K.does appreciate knowing who intends to come along and further details for members are on the WhatsApp Group.
Lunch group Get together with other members for lunch at a local restaurant. The next occasion will be announced at our main meeting and sign up will be needed to secure a reservation. No regular commitment required and a chance to get to know other ladies.
Walking Group this is being organised by Gill C. as a chance to get together for a walk, talk and refreshment locally. Walk will be weather permitting.
We also take part in many activities as part of the West Sussex Federation of W.I.s as well as national events.
New groups can be created if there is a demand, so please put forward your suggestion and you will be most welcome to join us.
