In addition to our main meeting we have various other groups that meet throughout the month. Often hosted by one of our members or at set locations within the district these groups are exclusive to our WI members. Specific details will be given in our monthly bulletin available at our meeting, or distributed by email or our WhatsApp Group..
We currently have the following activities:-
Craft groups – We encourage ladies to meet in smaller groups in their homes to sew, create, knit, and chat. We also utilize the Café in John Lewis and typically focus on our community activities at this location. This occurs on the first Thursday morning of the month.
Crochet Group – A new gathering for crocheters to learn and share patterns
Reading group on the Wednesday following the main meeting will be at the John Lewis Cafe. We meet to discuss and share whatever we have been reading – light or serious, fact or fiction, paperback or hardback, Kindle or audiotape, it’s all up for discussion.
Lunch group – Get together with other members for lunch at a local restaurant. The next occasion will be announced at our main meeting and sign up will be needed to secure a reservation. No regular commitment required and a chance to get to know other ladies.
Walking Group – this is being organised by Gill C. as a chance to get together for a walk, talk and refreshment locally. The walks will be further afield in the Summer and an outing to Garden Centre during the Winter.
We also take part in many activities as part of the West Sussex Federation of W.I’s as well as national events.
New groups can be created if there is a demand, so please put forward your suggestion and you will be most welcome to join us.
